Sweet.

OK Rallysman, there you go...

Most definitely go with the W/D with that setup, but do some planning first.

If you don't have a stang yet plan building one around your filter, you'll be glad you did.

I'm going to give rallysman first shot at this, he's got a real nice one. I'm a complete DIYer and I dod't want to confuse you, YET. :D

If he doesn't show up I'll give it a try and see if I can stay within the lines...

Thats a nice tank so don't ruin it by going cheap.

Get a wet/dry with a big sump to prevent overflows incase of a power outage. Most good wet drys have an angled end which makes it easier to clean the crap out of the bottom. If your going to put some monster fish in there consider using a rainbow lifeguard/pentair style heater module in line with the output from the sump in order to keep the heater out of the tank.

Hope this helps

Tell ya what ammerman, if you come over this weekend we can draw something up.

Dr Joe, go ahead and put out what you have in mind, I'm impressed by your ideas :grinyes:

I would take a 40 breeder and plumb the overflow down to dump into the sump. then take 2 small pumps and run each one back through the seconds hole on each side. That probably doesnt make sense, but I can show you:)

If you have a chance to come over, let me know and we can work something out.
I agree with planning the stand around the filter....makes it easier:D

Sounds like a plan, just make sure that a single pump can handle all the return flow should Murphy find it, if the over flows aren't adjustable.

If you can put the filter material on a tray so it's easier to clean/change (and get him an extra one so he can just exchange them & clean them outside) he'll appreciate it (and do it regularly).

If you guys can get together that would be great, would get rid of a lot of confusion too.

Good Luck and K.U.P.
