So im seting up my 125G again i did have 2 oscars in it for a year then hade a go with doing a reef for 1/2 a year thay suck compeared to big fish so im reseting up the tank for big fish
Tank setup will be 1 X fx5 , 1 X eheim 2229 wetdry canster the suction for these will be in a sepret overflow box on the back i made for the reef setup
2-3 big bits of wood might try sand this time for substrate
last time i hade 4 oscars at the start worked it down to 2 through agresion but the 2 still hade rumbles and would get messed up looking and i dident like that
so im thinking this time to try 2 oscars again starting with 4-5 or 1 oscar and somthing else but if i went with 1 oscar and somthing else what do u think my stocking could be was thinking
maby a Ornate Bichir or the standed jd , gt , big pleco combo i do like the look fo fish just crusing around all day where the bichir might just hide not to keen on that so what do people think
this was the old setup will use the same wood http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...-first-pick-of-my-oscar&p=5432697#post5432697

I'd do the one o so you can have more variety. The large pleco thing is too boring for that set up. I'd consider some larger tankmates w different shapes and colors from the o. Severum and nics come to mind. Also been quite a fan of red bay snook lately, just purchased my second one. I've also had lima shovelnose cat and various sa pikes when i've had oscars. Also smaller guys like cutterI Hope this helps.

just looking at an option to help keep the woon clean it i was to go with 2 oscars or 1 oscar and 1 or 2 other bigish fish is a pleco the only option i have to help keep the wood clean and could my filtration handle the bioload the fx5 will have 2 trays of bio media and bottom tray with maby Purigen and a carbon combo.

so i was thinking of an oscar , texis ,royal pleco thay should have a good contrast between the to oscar and texis and the royal will help keep the wood clean the filtration keeped up with the 2 oscars last time so i think i should be ok

I'd toss a Severum into that mix. Males can get to a decent size, they normally aren't all that aggressive and when mature are quite stunning.

A big pleco won't do anything to clean the tank. It doesn't take them long to figure out that someone is throwing food in the tank and they stop cleaning. If it was me I'd go with 1 o, a Midas (of reputable origins), and a catfish. Lima or gulper.

A Panaque is too big for a 125...And even the smaller species are poop machines.
