have a 6' long 125g(sand, lot of cobblestone and driftwood) with a 9" inch chocolate cichlid with schools of black skirt tetras and serpae tetras with large pleco and couple of small firemouths. was getting fish food and decided to add juvie red oscar to tank. i know the chocolate can prob do ok with the oscar but is it possible if oscar raised from juvi he or she will leave the tetras alone later. How about firemouths. Was thinking of taking out the pleco as oscar starts to grow as a bio load swap so to speak. Hear plecos are bad in that regards.
I also have a JD in a 90G. Could a JD, Chocolate and Oscar, FM's work in a 120 when the oscar grows out or are JD's just to aggressive to mix with SA cichlids?
Could mature angels possibly co exist with the chocolate cichlid if i removed the oscar and kept the FMs and chocolate?
Are red oscars less aggressive than tiger oscars?
starting to wonder if oscar was a bad impulse buy but was thinking an oscar and chocolate would coexist nicely and could be good show tank
