hi everyone im pretty new to this site. at home i have several tanks - i have 2 -planted discus tanks- a 10g planted dwarf puffer tank-a 5g planted invert- and 2 -20g for my breeding pair of synodontis petricola and their offspring.
im getting a 125g to set up in the basement at work(wife wont let me have anymore tanks at home) its gonna have to be a barebottom(dont have time to gravel vac at work) i was thinking about a stingray or an arowana but the footprint of the tank is too small.
im thinking maybe of rescuing a turtle to put in it- but again i dont thin its gonna be big enough for a slider or a painted.
anyone have any thoughts on what i should house in this tank? id definately like it to be carnivorous because im a chef and they would get some pretty yummy pieces of leftovers!
thanks for your time

For a tank like that why not a LMB or something? Relatively cheap, native and will eat almost anything!
definitely NOT a lmb. they require a much larger footprint, probably 250g minimum.

As for stocking ideas for the 125? I would suggest some nice driftwood, sand, floating plants, and a shoal of redbelly piranhas.

Haha you suggest not to get a LMB but a shoal of red bellies? :S
He said no sand btw, bare bottom as it's at his work.
Failing the LMB, you want a fish that wants to be a trash disposal unit?
A couple of Oscars then? Jag? they dont grow too big and love to eat eat eat.

or some sort of freshwater turtle like a frt or Florida soft shell
