125G tank

The GT, convict, and FM have different water parms.

thanks. the LFS calles them white hole rocks but im pretty sure they are limestone.

as for the variety of fish, i know its a complete varience of everything. I have had them in the tank now for about 6 months and the only one at one point that was getting picked on was the GT. I thought he would be the more agressive of them all.
Other then that, they all seem to do fine, they eat, they show there colours....no one has died or even looked sick....im just going to keep going with it and see what happens. By the time any of them are full grown they will be in a much much bigger tank with more room and a better environment.

Yea nice setup! No problems losing any?...or agression in the tank? I had some pretty mean peacocks and green terror. :irked: Thought maybe more rockwork would be cool. The 600gal in the wall is gonna be nice. Been wanting to put a huge tank in the wall for a long time. I feel you too about MFK...all this info and tanks just make you wanna do more and go bigger!

And are going to get shredded by that Kenyii.

The tank looks pretty good, but I think that the water params and aggression differences are going to become a real problem even in a 600 gallon. Considering that the GT is the only fish of the SA/CA's that has color that can rival the Rift Lake Cichlids, I don't really see the point in them.

OP, save yourself a lot of headaches and get some store credit for the SA/CA's when you go to move and put in more Africans.

Thanks for all the ino again guys.

So far i have had no problems with any of the fish. The 6 danios i have taken out as i had originaly used them when cycling the tank. so im down 6 there, but no agression as of yet. The GT i have been considering getting rid of, but everything i go to the store theres look so drab and mine is a nice dark colour and the green really stands out. The Fire mouth seems to be doing amazing! he swims with all the other fish. The convist just stays to himself, minds his own business and thats about it.

I think because it is over stocked, no one seems to bother anyone...im going to add a few more rocks to it...expnsive as all hell that rock...and just leave the mix i have in there and see what happens. If someone needs to be taken out, i can move them to another tank b4 bringin them back to the LFS.

It is aice setup but if you want everythin thrive properly the GT, firemouth and convicts should be relocated. Water params are quite different. Nice stup other than that though.

some of the non-rift lake fish should be moved, especially the jewel and convict for aggression issues, and the GT because of its future size
