What can I say? Stunning! Beautiful Midas, doesn't get any better than that.
But it will, he is still just a baby after all. Another 12months and he should be at full potential.

Beautiful beast you got there Scott! I love how his orange pops w/ that dark substrate!
Your not kidding, part of the reason I like the black and chose it.

Junior is awesome. The pics look great as well. It seems mfk is getting spoiled with all the dslr pics lately.
Much appreciated, I took them with my new daughter in one hand. 5 days old now.

Exactly what I hope to have for my midas someday
Expect more, as this guy is just a young teenager technically as I know for certain he is going to be more impressive when he hits 12", not to mention 14".;) It's hard to be patient when you grow them out yourself, but the final product is so much better.:naughty:

You can with certain cichlids, though it is not always guarenteed. My old 14" albino tiger oscar would never other them, yet my 7" female trimac would hunt them down relentlessly. I ended up with 2 Tiger barbs(Two large males) from a preiveious tank buy and he tolerated them fine. He does an occasional "I'm the boss" chase, but never comes close to nailing them or the clownloaches. Pleco's he ignores all together. He actually chases the younger Midas "Pepper" more, and thats only at feeding time because he views him as competition.

Great tank
Are there any problems with the albino bn plecos?

Nope, there are 2 males and the rest are females. So as large as the tank is there are no agression problems. Not to mention with the lighting the algae grows fast.

As far as the Midas, he doesn't even notice them. The only "Real Agression" is between the two large male Tiger barbs that started it all. They are constantly fighting for the top position.:screwy:

Nice Midas looks great with the dark setup!
