the tank is alright looking, filtration is basically a hang on and the light that comes with it is only 18 total watts not enough to grow any corals. It would work for a light bio load fish only setup, ie. goby and a shrimp or it could be modified and used as a refugium

Alright cool, next would be figuring out how thick the glass would new to be and what kind of glass

I would have no idea. Go into your local glass shop and talk to them about your project. Im sure someone would be willing to sit down with you and talk logistics.
