oh man, seems like youre in the game just for the money. youre gonna have trouble selln with what you just said.

"its unbelievable you can say somethhing like this"

why is that? i got notice from my company i am being transferred. its is going to financially benefit my family and allow me much greater financial security than i have now. i will be moving a pretty good distance and will not be able to take any of my fish with me. do i wish i could take them, of course. but i've got two young boys and bills to worry about. if you take offense to me putting my family first, don't bother clicking on my threads in the future.

i've already sold a number of fish/aquariums for far below what they cost me. this has nothing to do with trying to turn a profit or "only being in this for the money". i've literally spent thousands on this hobby and will spend thousands more once i am moved into my new home. i've probably given away more supplies/fish/aquariums to people as gifts and startups than most have you have spent on the hobby. all i have left to sell is this fish, a 46gl bowfront/stand and a 80gl tank/stand/canopy. if i can't sell them i am just going to give them to friends. if no one wants the fish he will be euthanized. why is that so difficult to understand?

i mean, honestly, if i could keep the fish i would, but i'm not going to break my back over one fish when i've got an entire house full of stuff and a family to move.

and to the guy in seal beach, if you want him, pm me. i will let him go to a good home.

I think it sounded like you were saying

"if i dont sell it, i'll euthanize it"

Sounds like you are planning on giving it away if you dont get any offers. Am I right?
If you cant find any friends or MFK member or even an LFS to take him off your hands then there's not a hole lot you can do but euthanize if you're moving.

But as long as you give the fish a chance at the very least, by giving it to an LFS, then you're ok in my book.

You've got a PM.

"Sounds like you are planning on giving it away if you dont get any offers. Am I right?"

yes, exactly.

heres the order in which i would like to part with the fish; sell it, give it to some one who has the space for it and lastly give it to a LFS.

thats the jist of it. i mean, finding a home for an agressive 12in flowerhorn isn't the easiest thing to do. not a lot of people have the room for him. my buddy who is buying my 240gl and a number of the fish in it absolutely refused to take the fish. i've been to a number of the lfs in my area and they won't take him because he is so big.

Man...what kind of shops do you have around there. Bring it down to Alhambra or San Gabriel...the shops there have owners who will get half a stock just looking at that fish.
