lol, an interesting point I read recently btw, concerning adding shrimp to new tanks. If your PH is on the acidic side, equilibrium shifts more to NH4+ rather than NH3; whereby people have been able to keep shrimp alive from the start.

I haven't tried this, but thought it might make for an interesting talking point

I still don't understand it properly, but I have to say that's pretty sweet. I wonder if it works for all aquatic life or just invertebrate?
