I know this will piss you off convict360 convict360 . I plan on getting one of these light fixtures (24") because I want more advanced plants. I plan on replacing Monte Carlo with Dwarf Hair Grass, Glosso, or possibly Baby Tears. I'm also going to get a few Madagascar Lace plants instead of Anubis.

I would recommend against mixing stuff like Hairgrass with other carpeting plants, coz once they get tangled up its quite unsightly... I tore out my old carpet in my planted for that very reason...

That flourite is cheaaaaaap. Next scaping is my big tank

I need some opinions, maybe even some brainstorming from the smart mind that seem to buzz around this thread.

I've been looking at different carpet plants but none of them are really "jumping out" at me so to speak. At first I wanted lilaeopsis (sp?) but have since decided against it because keeping it in one area just seems like more trouble than its worth.

So now I'm thinking a crypt carpet (mainly because if a plant pops up somewhere its not wanted I can just pluck it out) and think that would look cool but I also want high light plants, so my question is, how do I keep duckweed (or similar) covering only the crypts?

I was thinking about trying to place power heads and what not in such a way that the current keeps it there, but the more I think about this the more difficult I think it would be and the less likely it seems like it will work.

Does anyone have a suggestion about keeping it in one spot? It sort of just does what it wants in my 2ft...

Thanks in advance. :)
