They're wild coloration veiltails. I bought them around 3" (excluding fin length).

Georgia is pretty expensive when it comes to this hobby. I wouldn't be surprised if my lfs charges $300 for the same light I plan to get for $170 from BigAls.
 
I should be able to start gathering materials for my tank this time next month. Hopefully I'll have some updates by then.

Just moved into my new house. Still sooooo much to unpack and do, but at some point this week I'll wash the sand and start a prelim scape.

Still waiting on the light to arrive.
 
Mr unnamed betta now has a name, and what's more is we both agreed on it!!!

We finally decided on Miles. I think he looks like a Miles, and Jeff gets to say he's "Miles Betta" than the rest so we're both happy... And maybe a little immature... :D

Hey convict360 convict360 did you have any trouble getting the little filter to prime? Just got mine and the motor will kick on but won't bring the water up???
 
I had to reach down and push the fan to get the motors to kick on but even then it should start working correctly. There was to extra plastic pieces that I couldn't figure out what it went to??
