I don't know about the cuda, I'd assume so, I'd think the body would get dark and he'd develop a color sheen and the tail would contrast better most likely, my experience with silver characins over dark substrate, usually it's a green sheen. As for the tiger barbs, for the regular ones, their bars will be come darker and more pronounced ime. I see what your saying about them.

Nice pickup. However, if the acestro is really a prized fish for you, I'd suggest removing the tiger barbs ASAP. In my experience, acestros are super susceptible to fin-rot, and given how nippy tiger barbs are that seems like a recipe for disaster.

Thanks. I’ll have to keep an eye on the barbs. If they start nipping the cuda then they’ll be moved out ASAP.

Well it seems like you’re right. Caught the little bastards nipping at the cuda’s tail so I put up a divider. Now the little bastards are up for sale
