Well I came home tonight to find out that my dad by mistake turned on the hot water to fill the sump. He then forgot to shut it off. SO i lost every fish i had in my 300 gallon tank which were some very beautiful and large cichlids. So I am going to start planning on what to do about restocking my tank and would like some ideas. I would like pictures of fish you would have if you had my tank. It is an 8' long by 2.5' tall by 26" wide tank.
130 degree water and fish do not mix.

Sorry for your loss. At least you can now upgrade to catfish. I recommend megalodoras uranoscopus. Supposedly their purr sounds like a motorcycle engine.
so sorry for your loss. are you interested in african cichlids? i like them. or just get one or two monster fish like midas or oscars and go from there. or if you want to go native i got a crapload of bullhead catfish. i live in illinois come get these little hungry monsters.
If I had a 300 gallon I would stock it with a few Columbian Sharks. They are brackish to full marine though.
