1300+gal Above ground pond pictures.

beautiful set up. just wondering what will happen when those little guys get into a breeding mood. Just worried about your nice lilies and such.

currently there is approximately 40 cichlids in there. all are growouts for the summer, basically. i will have to move them in for the winter.



thanx. the cost to build it was about $350 total. that including the UV, pumps, and filter boxes.
where did u shop for the materials???? cause if i can i would love to do this project in my backyard:naughty: and dump some fh in there ;)

thanx a bunch. the larger end of the pond is currently housing sub-adults. the bottom end is housing large fry of sorts. i've been working to try to keep the largest of the large fry moved out up to bigger end.

i shopped at lowes and home depot. for plumbing and wood. the liner was real cheap from a odd lots type of store, and its 20mil thickness. UV and pump was of ebay for cheap. there are bargins around you just have to look for them.

thanx brother. i will probably we work the plumbing for next year and add a gigantic filter container to add to this system. we also had to work out something else with the waterfall.

great looking . Its nice keeping cichlids but in my case mine I never see only catch a glimpse at feeding time yours are out in view real nice
