Heres an elaborated version of the canopy.. sorta shows how I plan on building it. The plywood stain and poly is dry for the side panels and will attach it today (hopefully).
Running to von tobel today to grab some 2x4s and trim for the canopy.
Heres how the framing will work. I used 2x4s because the tank has no center support, and it bows a few inches will full. I will be using 2x4s in the canopy to brace the top. Heres the basic pre-trim and pre-plywood framing.
Heres a shot without the trim on the front and sides. Edges are on so you can see the individual pieces of wood.
And finally with trim:
I was too lazy to model any hinges or handles.. just imagine them
