If you can, go find a architect or building engineer and ask them. 2x8 pine isnt the strongest. If I was you I would beef it up because ee I have a problem, I love DIY, I love demolition and drywall. So I would just be doing it for fun. It should be fine though. Filler up and test the floor.

Well your probably on the right track to put a piece of plywood under so it hits 2 joists then
