I got the water stains off by sanding them, I am painting the frame anyway.
I sanded almost the whole stand, I still have to sand the bottom and where the tank is sitting, tomorrow I am going to use a finer grit sand paper. I am going to paint the frame black and I am not sure if I will stain or paint the stand. I will post pictures of everything tomorrow.

i used the same paint i used for the back of my tank to paint the frame and the stand. looks really good cause it all matches :D

I finished sanding the stand and tank today. Tomorrow I will probably start staining the stand and painting the tank frame. I am not sure if I am going to actually paint the back of the tank black or get a black background.

I got a sander from Lowe's that I am going to take back when the project is complete

Today I stained most of the stand. It was my first time staining anything and it looks damn good! The top and bottom on the stand need to be stained again.

Things Left To Do:
-Paint the tank frame maybe back.
-Clean the tank
-Get and clean Pool filter sand
-Find some driftwood and rocks
-Buy the filter
-FISH

I am done painting the tank now all that is left is clean the glass and fill it up. I went and bought shims for the stand now it is level. I also got some foam weather stripping for the top of the stand to sit the tank on. I read every that vinegar was the best to use but doubted it and used everything except for vinegar. I finally tried it and it works wonders. IF YOU EVER NEED TO CLEAN AQUARIUM GLASS USE VINEGAR!!! I will post pictures tomorrow when I put it on the stand and start filling it.

I am also in the process of making my own python!
