135 Gallon turtle tank busted in my living room

Fill it with water and sand, add a filter, and get back Prof. Chaos! Those troughs are like $40.

I would be looking for a plastic type material over metal..

Yeah i wouldv put him in my tub and used a friends shower u could have sold the cracked tank for a 100 bucks and got a temporary tank and filter for the fish if u got right on here and said I need an emergency filter someone will probably help but I guess u did what u could I hope

Damn! So sorry to hear, every tank owner's nightmare. You'll be a stronger person for it, I swear.

I'm guessing that the Matamata was the centerpiece and I hope that you get him back.
He's worth a lot more than $250 and probably the coolest looking turtle around town.
If you think that you've made a hasty decision I would get a cheap turtle tub and keep him for the time being.

While I do not mean to derail from OP's statement, I've heard of a lot of breakage with Glasscages,, Enough to turn me away.

Same here, was the bottom tempered or what? Ive read 3 recently and all the same brand! But yeah if theres debris and theres a preasure point under the tank on the botton glass (which supports 1500+lbs) it will def crack! Lucky u were home!
