just got this fella recently and i noticed he has a crater nipple inbetween his barbels.. im assuming its from ramming against the tank but is this shortening his life by the excessive stress it must be going thru to keep banging against the tank??? pls advise. thanks

Bump the temp and add aqua salt to the tank. What the hell is a crater nipple? don't nipples stick out?

yea theres a crater in between his barbel and 1 nipple inside of it.. like it healed in the center of it? but still a circle crater around that nipple lol... I hope what big dovii said is true...

Does it look like an injury or scarring? Sounds like a deformity (not a big one) and nothing to worry about it too much. But adding some salt and bumping up the temp will help it heal. If it still looks like that in a couple weeks, don't worry about too much

yes im trying to sell it. but the barbel thing was there when i got it. it eats a lot and very active. loooks healthy. just the tank 2200
