i would not feed him for a couple days, then drop in thawed fish, shrimp, and meat(3-4 attempts each type). He would go for it and then immediately drop it. i gave up because there was a leo x motoro ray in there with him snatching the food that was meant for the armatus.

Not for an armatus. Even the 3"ers go for at least $85. For the size and condition of this fish, his price is extremely fair.
