14" Royal Panaque

Well over 24 hours later my panic is starting to go down a bit. I think everything will be alright. Despite having a nasty reputation Shredder has not shown any aggresion at all and is acting very pleco-like. I have not seen him eat driftwood but you can see the clean pingpong balls and he has been eating romain lettace, rabbit food and algae waffers (the ones that the oscar's miss).

Awesome royal!!! Mine grinds down hugh driftwood pieces like they're lettuce. The prefilter always looks like it's full of old coffee grounds. I don't know if all royals will do this but, mine splits his time between the driftwood and a big boulder of holey rock in his tank (which he's slowly grinding down to sand). He feeds on potato halves, kiwi, earthworm sticks, earthworms, catfish fillets, crushed land snails, mussels, rabbit pellets, and sinking catfish pellets. Here's a pic of all 18" of him.

It looks like he is out of water. Why isn't it thrashing around?

When I picked mine up outta his box he didn't even move. I have noticed a lot of plecos won't move much out of water.
