Thanks!
Do you guys think the Ameca will be fin nipping my Altifrons?
Some ppl told me to keep an eye on that.

Made some pictures today, still need to learn alot about taking photo's.
Just got this Canon 20D for 1 week now.
The Ameca Splendens is really hard to shoot because they swim so fast.

Nice group! Do you find them sensitive? I just got a group of them (2") and three came with bloat. One died the first day. I hope rest of them can pull thru.

Ive got mine for 3 weeks now, all 12 of them are still alive and kicking =)
No diseases what so ever.
The only problem I have atm is that one of the smallest is not accepted in the group.
The other ones attacked him and he is now blind in 1 eye.
I doubt that one will survive, but the other ones are all healthy.

With these fish you need to make sure you don't buy them to small.
Because when they are too small they are indeed very vulnerable for all kind of diseases, especially fungus types.
They also need to be kept at a high enough temperature, though not every source I read confirms this.
I have mine at 28°C and I dont see any problems.

I don't know why yours would have bloat. I can't help you with that, im sorry.

Cool, thanks for the input. All my group is doing well so far. I guess it was the stress due to shipping. Now I know they are somewhat sensitivty when they are young.

Once again, nice setup and pics.

Its been a while since I posted some pictures.
I have 2 months holiday right now and im busy atm.
Vacation job + visiting music festivals.

I wouldn't worry about the nipping. I know ameca are aggressive for livebarers, but the altifrons can handle themselves.
Your altifrons are really looking nice!
