Heey yoo (;

I was just wondering;
Here in a months time I'm getting confirmated, or what ever it's called in english.
You know, where you say you believe in god blablabla and then alot of gifts and money from the family (The main part:D)
So, I'll have some money in my pocket, and now, I've dreamt of a 140 gallon tank (530 litres) with predators, you know, a oscar couple, fire eel etc etc etc as many predators there can be.
And I would like to know what the normal costs a month for food to these guys?
How much money are you using on cocktail shirmps and pellets, and the other snacks you give them?

Over and out!

If your talking about 140 US gallons. Then you could have 2 oscars in it. Your not going to want to put many other fish in it though, depending on your filtration. But if you have good filtration you could put a couple other medium sized cichlids in there, and a fire eel.

you can feed oscars (and other cichlids) pellets exclusively. so that will limit your costs to probably less than 10 bucks a month to keep them well fed. Then you can give them any occasional treats you want depending on how much money you want to spend

Yes, US gallons.
But it doesn't need to be oscars. Just overall predator tank.
But 10 bucks for only pellets, ok, thank you! :)

the fire eel will most likely need to eat worms and similar food, and might not take pellets

pellets £10 a month. Bag of frozen whitebait £5 a month. could prob do it cheaper if you went to fish markets. but im happy with £15 a month.

each to their own, but i would go for 1 snakehead (presuming its not banned in your state), if so maybe an arrowana instead.
its difficult to say, beacuse when theyre small you could have quite a selection but as your predators grow they will more than likely need 150 gallon each minimum.
