15 dovii

It took about an hour and a half. Drained the tank down to the tape mark in my first photo, removed all the decor, and then used egg crate wrapped in window screen to herd the fry to one corner where they could be netted. A huge hassle.

I'm going to lend him my crawdad trap and see if he can't catch them out easier. Stick it under some decor with some sinking food in it and leave it over night.

How'd he get those 15 Dovii outta there for ya:)

haha funny you ask. he had to take all the decor out and drain the tank down to about 10" of water. it took about an hour and a half. 2 nets and a divider later i had some dovii:D it was alot of work for him, Mel was very generous with his time and efforts to give me some free fish.

ahhh, Jamie beat me too it.

Very nice fry and good genetics to boot! If you keep some long enough I bet they'll get just as nice.

Crawdad or minnow trap would prolly work great for fry! Except it might get mangled lol

that male is impressive. send me one of them little baby males, ill grow it up right;)

awesome dovii

the term "wolf" completely describes these little guys/gals right now. they stay in a pack and absolutely annihilate food just like a pack of red belly p's. it's a damn shame that this doesnt stay true through adulthood, but i think i can deal with only a pair ;)
