15 gallon stocking ideas?

You could always order online if you can't get what you want in store.
Ordering online is one of my least favorite things. I hate paying like $30 for shipping on a $5 fish. I don't like the chance that a fish can arrive in bad condition too. I don't like aquabid because it's a bit confusing. I bet you can tell I'm a very picky type.

Yes I can tell lol. But you could do what I do and just make a list of fish you want and then find a site that has free shipping. See which fish you can get and how close you can get to free shipping. If you get it then good. If not, add things until you hit it. Once I get into larger tanks I'll have a 180 that'll strictly be for neon tetras I'll add to get free shipping on various orders lol.

I found some more local species (state-wise)

I like the darters, speckled darter might be worth a shot.

Seems to be a bottom-dweller, you think I could put any other type of kansan fish in with a darter?

Maybe a single Fundulus kansae and a single darter that would give the tank more color. I like this idea a lot. If i go with this it's probably gonna be stuff from nature to scape.

Smart, I'll start on my list when I have time, right now I'm a bit busy.

Here`s a wild idea for you. Turn your 15 gallon into a hillstream tank. You could then stock it with some small loaches (there are some amazing fish that are sized just right), appropriate catfish and then any number of danios. Or go with a slower output pump and do a S.A. river tank with some apistos, tetras and your choice of some amazing catfish that will be very happy in a 15.

If you want a nano loach then look into rosy loaches. Only grow to an inch.

There are killi species that live there. I keep "Fundulopanchax gardneri" which is a colourful species from Africa :)
