Is someone picking on the aro? His pelvic fins are missing the long flowing part I like. My bet is on the managuense, since the oscar seems big enough to eat the aro and yet hasn't.

Nope no one has been picking on him. The managuense will go to the top now and then but will dart back down when the O or arro moves. He has his pelvis fins there therer just small do to his age im guessing picked him up at around 5 inches and has grown to 9-10 inches in less than a month :headbang2

The only fish that picked on him was my FH that i had to sell. Didnt do much tho caught her the day after she started. Ive had that O for around 4 years now, pritty docile unless a fish attacks lol.

are you close enough to a sink that you can get a python water changer? you won't have to lift the pails anymore.

just drain, dechlor right in the tank, and fill'er up.

The sink doesn't have the right hook up for my python but would that hurt the fish putting chlorinated water straight into the tank or would prime take out the chlorine fast enough? Now im just filling up the bucket primeing the water and putting the pail on top of my tank on the corner and using a siphon to put it back into my tank.

you should be able to get an adapter so the python will fit.

I use mine on my old laundry sink.

adding prime right to the drained tank and putting new water in is perfectly fine.

its the easiest and safest way.

as the new water hits the old water plus your dose of prime, it mixes and is dechlorinated instantly.

dose for the amount of new water added only (seachem says dose for full tank volume but they are just getting you to use more prime for no reason)

good luck
