lol mine as you can see in my sig is in jail...... people talk about how midas red devils are bad ass..... well I had one for about 6 months that was 9". Trimac was 3.5". The red devil is no longer with us. So I said you can't be serious I have a 150 gallon tank with only a 3.5" fish in there. I read so much about this african bad ass buttikoferi. I said ok people talk like this fish is the muhamad ali of cichlids. So I bought one that was about 8". Through him in the 150. Trimac was maybe about 4" at this time. Butti didn't even make it till the next morning. Then my gf wanted to kill me because this huge tank had one fish in it. I bought a bunch of adult SD thinking they would be too quick. Well I was right they were to quick, but the problem was this bastard wouldn't stop day or night so the poor fish eventually were slowing down from stress and he eventually got them.
Trimac is a crazy crazy fish. I don't need an alarm because as soon as the sun comes up this guy is slamming his head into the hood, basicly telling me to hurry my ass up and wake up so I can feed him. I'm telling you this guy is like abusing me yet I love him LOL I would highly recomend one and if you get a bunch from rapps and try raising a pair. I am sure a lot of true cichlid keepers would like to get them from you because it is hard to come by true Trimacs. For your new tank get a pair of Trimacs. Raise from small. My male is too big now he will kill any women I put in there.

yeah, don't get one. more than likely you will put it a 40, 29, 55, or your "pond'. A 75 will not be suitable for a trimac no matter how many filters you put on the tank

I've never heard of such a cool aggressive 3.5" Trimac. They'd be good for a species/specimen tank.
