It is odd that it just cracked, as I believe all Perfecto tanks have tempered bottom panes, should have blown out.
Possibly they had regular glass used in the bottom instead of the tempered? That would make sense since the bottom would be too thin to support the weight.

Burt :)

Edit..... Should have checked first... some tanks do not have tempered bottoms (http://www.marineland.com/sites/Marineland/Documents/Standard%20Aquarium%20Specs.pdf).
The 150 tall does not, the standard 150 does, which one was yours?

marineland: yea, they just suck now.

sorry about your fish, i would never buy a tank from them; i have had enough of there filters and heater crap out

After about a year in operation, I had to replace my 120gal. Marineland tank. The seals between the glass panels started turning brown and separating. The warranty is lifetime so I was covered. It just sucked having to rush to evacuate my entire stock. That was about four years ago. I've kept a close eye on the replacement tank ever since. Good luck with your new tank set-up. I hope you get an even better stock. Post pics.

I would still try to get them to replace the tank. It never hurts to try, unless you do not even want another one.

I hate to hear about the fish loss.
