Well I found a 150gallon with stand/lighting/various other aquarium supplies for a very fair price. The seals looked solid to me?(I don’t have any real experience but they looked good). So after hefting it with a bud of mine and a 90 min nerve racking ride and another heft (MAN that was heavy for 2 people). We got it into the appt and onto the stand. Now I’m waiting to find the house my wife/aka the speaker of the house (who went with us by the way and said ok to this), and I will be living in for the next 5-10 years, buy it….and set the tank up and then move my 56 column tank creatures into it. So the question is about filtration now. I have a Eheim classic 2215 in my 56 and like it ….I found a 100gal for my bud on craigs list and convinced him that 75 bucks was fair….and then we built the stand and hood and lighting system etc…..and he has a eheim 2217 on it. So I was thinking I’d either get 2x2217s or 1x 2262??????
Suggestions are welcome. I’ve never had a tank this big before. I have plenty of time before the setup so ….

Thanks
Pat

I’m also interested setting this up as a dirt/sphagnum peat moss/river bed silt/loam with a layer of some sort of “plant substrate” on top to cap it and planting the hooo dogs out of it. It’s nearly 30 inches tall so I’m wondering what kind of lighting would be reasonable to put on it?

I have a 2217 and a emperor 400 on my 150 and my water is crystal clear. My dad and I had to carry mine and im only 18, but I found out by this that I am actually pretty darn strong :).

The Fluval FX5 is doing an amazing job on my 150, I wouldn't use anything else.
