Setting up a 150 gal and I got a ton of great advice about filtration forum and the subject of stocking came up so I figured I should post it here. I figured that I could get an O and maybe a mix or most of the following in 2 sevs 1 green terror and maybe a JD or smaller cat. Really doing this as something the whole family could get involved in. I had large cichlids when I was a kid and it was something I thought I could do with my kids... That being said my 3 year old son is really excited and is helping pick out fish. Have to keep explaining why we cant get a red tail cat lmao. Any way how does that sound ?

Welcome and an Oscar, GT and two Sevs will work in a 150 for sure. A nice smaller-medium sized cat would be fine too. Good luck... my kids love my fish too!! My daughter thinks our Betta would beat up my large cichlids because its a fighting fish.... lol.
That's hysterical ... yeah Im really happy hes into it too. Its at the point that he wants every catfish that we see . The answer is probably NO but could any of the fish on my list live with a GULPER CATFISH ? What a cool cat ... before I even show my boy
I'd say no.... never owned one, but they can eat things that you would't think they would try to eat from what I've read. Maybe if the cichlids were twice the size of the cat... anyone else ever keep these?? You could always ask over in the catfish area.
Also I don't know if I mentioned this but the tankis 48x24x30... would the 4 or 5 fish still be ok to add. Again not sure of exact stocking but prob and O 1or 2 sevs, and maybe Jd and/or GT and or a bottom dweller..

wow really like what the lemon and the bumblebee O's look like anyone have any experience with them ? really nice
anyone have opinions about lemon Os or bumblebee O's. also anyone have any ideas for a medium sized cat...like the giant bumblebee cat and the jaguar cat.... would my tank be too small for a juruense or bolt cat ?
