Well, this is the start of the my planted tank. I'm really hoping to turn it from a somewhat humble setup to a real beauty with the help of the forum.
A quick rundown of what I have so far:
I'm going for a relatively low maintenance tank. Substrate is a mix of pea gravel and flourite. I have 3 medium sized swords, one tiger lotus, one java fern that i attached to a piece of driftwood, and some Java moss. I don't think you can really see it in this picture, but the Java Moss is attached to the large arching driftwood in various spots so that it will mimic a banzai tree once it grows in.
I know i need to fill in the back with some more swords (i'll probably go with smaller/cheaper ones and let them grow in to fill the space).
I've thought about adding and anubias attached to the piece of driftwood to the left in the tank, and covering the top of the rock cave with christmas moss. I also want to add some microswords in the foreground.
The main focus of the tank in terms of fish will be a harem of Rainbow Cichlids with the other fish I have listed in my sig.
I would love any suggestions you guys have in regards to additional plants and what ferts you guys use. I really don't want to get into a Co2 setup at this time.
Thanks for checking out my tank!

Yeah, the full tank shot can be deceiving, but i assure you it is 150 gallons. I have to stand on the top of my step stool to do anything in the tank, and even then i can barely reach the bottom. It's also hard to see that it has a 4'x2' footprint.

Yeah my 90 gallon tank looks like a 55 gallon because it is 48x18x25" tall.

If your not in a rush I'de just take good care of your swords.. and they'll propigate like mad soon enough and you can split and fill in in no time. I'de look into chain swords.. I love mine..and I run no CO2 suppliments, they'de go crazy splitting if I did but they split/propigate fairly fast w/out it. Not sure if your lighting will keep them as happy since I run T5's on my 37T But they may be worth a shot, and they make a nice foreground.

Yeah, the lighting is the only concern I've had. I went out and picked up some more swords today (much smaller), so it should fill in really nice. I was thinking chain sword and microsword in the foreground as well. Thanks for you suggestions!
