150 Gallon Stock increase

Wow, i didn't know that about plecos....
ok, so i'll keep them till they are a little bit bigger and then i'll either sell or give them away...
and as for the comets, i think i'll just give them to my cousin, he'll probably feed them to his turtle
 
I would get rid of the goldfish and the common plecos; get one rhino(or chocolate pleco), and a couple of medium(9-10 inch) fancy plecos.

You can also add a group of 6 silver dollar variety...This will make your oscar a little more active. If you want to have a pair of convicts, that's fine as well, just know that the frys that will come you need to get rid of :)

Of course, if you want more fish, you will need to change water more often(I do 30% every 3 days), and maybe add more filters.

BTW, what is the unidentified catfish? picture?
 
Yeah, I was planning on getting rid of the comets, thanks for the info on the smaller plecos, I'll have to look into them.

The Convicts wouldn't go into the 150, they would go into a 40 or 50 that I'm gonna buy, the fry (when big enough) would go into a 10 gallon, and then be fed to my Oscars.

The Catfish is a Synodontis nigromaculata, I was to lazy to get the full name lol.
 
convicts or any fish breeding prodjuct isnt worth the time, money and aggravaction in my opinion to use a feeders. For one you would have to have atleast a 30 gallon tank for the pair of convicts. And three or 4 other small tanks just for the different size fry. And Will cost more money on the power for the tanks. and the food for those fry tanks then its worth. And still not have enough fry to be able to feed on a regular basis. I did it with a pair and was such a head ache. Again this is just my opinion. Go over to the breeding section and read up on it. Tons of threads in there on breeding convicts and just about any thing else you would ever want to breed as feeders. If you want a breeding prodjuct its fun. Other wise not worth it. Just feed um some red warms, black worms, blood warms instead or mysis shrimp, ghost shrim, frogs, meal worms, silk warms, super warms ect. They are all cheap and easy with no added maitnence.
 
i wold take away a oscar and the goldfish and add some pike cichlids or arowana. whats the point of golf fish in a heated tank??
 
Lol, the Comets were in there to cycle the tank, so yeah they are pointless to keep now.

I might get rid of one of the Oscars, seeing as many here believe keeping 3 will be too much of a headache in the long run.

The Convicts wouldn't be a regular basis feed for them, It will mostly be for treats and when company is over. Couldn't I leave all the fry in a smaller tank and use the bigger ones to feed my Oscars? That way none could really get large enough not to be eaten...

I was gonna breed Rosy Red Minnows, but then I read that they are not good for fish and lead to Hole in the Head, so I was hoping Convicts would be better
