1500 Gallon Monster Pond

The weather is getting much warmer and I'm ready to get this pond done. I've got some new pics and some new ideas. Just need a little bit of help from you guys..
The main hold up on this is financial reasons. I hope this will not be a factor this spring. I am really excited about getting this pond finished. I will take several pictures over the course of the next several weeks. Yall hang in there with me and I'll get it done.
This is the high side of my pond that I have got to get down to stop the rain water run off. 
A little confused...By down, do you mean answers for?
Not actually making the high side lower in height correct?
Is the water being directed towards the pond from downspouts?
Or, is the water just coming from the frontyard, down the slope on the side, past the side of the house or garage?
This assuming runoff is the problem. Looks like a little berm and draintile work. Not a big deal.
