I love the dimensions on that tank! Man I could make a sweet planted tank out of that! It looks like it is glass. Who is the manufacturer?

It is an older tank (15 years maybe) so I don't know the manufacturer. If ya want to go with an 8 foot tank, I'd recomend a 240 gallon. Ironically that is what this one was advertised as, when I bought it. As soon as I seen in person I knew it was smaller but still decided to get it.

BTW Dimensions for a 240g are a 96"x 24" x 25".

with the right filter/pump setup you could do a really nice duplicate of a slow moving river...

good idea, I'll keep that in mind.

Love that look!

I am actually having a 96L x 12W x 16H made for above my "standard" 240. Long tanks gives you so much more real estate to play with, especially if you're into smaller fish.

Post more pics once it's dressed up some more!

My silver aro will make that his home until later this summer. I then will move from the Dining room into a fish room and put a couple of 75g on the bottom rack.

word that's legit, having a tank in the dining room is a great idea though.

how thick is that stand? it doesn't look stout enough to let me trust it.

Typical rod iron stand, doesn't look like much but does the job. The 6 legs are made of two 1/2" rod iron each, the cross members are 1 1/2" angle iron.

I love that tank.

was about to say that, too. or is the long tank producing an eye trick?

yeah i'm with these guys. that stand don't look to sturdy from my view, and i don't know about putting 2 75's below it either. so little surface area on those 6 legs, and 8feet of length. especially those corner bends, what up with that.

i LOVE that tank, i would buy one in a heartbeat. :WHOA:

however i wouldn't trust the stand. work on getting another in the plans. i had a new 125 LFS bought on their package metal stand deal. and within 2 years one corner leg started to bend kinda like a twist. i have since built all my own or gone with the wooden stands. they don't rest on legs, then are surface weight spread out over the footprint.

well gl with the tank, again i love it.
