Nice tank and setup. Just curious, is the holes in the bottom tank used for return or for connecting airstones? I've seen some tanks that had the bottom drilled out like yours, and had the air stones connected.
Only reason I asked was, about 20 years ago seen a tank setup in a LFS in NYC chinatown, guy had a luft pump running the 2 air stones he had connected to the bulkheads on the bottom of the tank. I said to myself, that's one way of hiding the airlines.
Also seen some pics of tanks setup like that in some old magazines/books from asia.
I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have to shut down filtration everytime I went to feed. I had originaly planned on siliconing some kind of screen to the over flow slits; but this is what I did instead.
I siliconed in some plexiglass on the inside edges of the o-flow box (about a 1/2" under the slits) making a sort of shelf.
I then just cut out two pieces of filter pad the size of the o-flow box and that's it.
Water is in the tank and it is working fine. The bennefits are:
-The filter pad reduced what little noise you could hear.
-It also serves as a prefilter thats real easy to clean hopefully saveing me from having to open up the wet/dry as often.
-Best of all no shutting down filtration while feeding.
