I used pictures from another build in here for an outline. I will be putting a 55g sump in the bottom. It is not yet done. I plan on cutting out holes in the back for cables. Only took me about 5-6 hours total so far.

Total cost just frame. $25.
Top, bottom and back: $30

My next challenge is a door. Might even go with a curtain.

(Not sure why some pictures came out small)

Added trim to the sides and instead of going with doors, I will just have a removable cover (shown in the first picture).

Anyone have any idea on how to fill that big space on the cover?

All I have to do now is stain/paint the stand, and put the covers on the sides.

no suggestions or input :(

great start.. i'm also in the mist of building a 6ft stand that will house a 55g sump. Any concern on not having any front vertical support?

I dont think so. Everything I have heard from "experts" is that there is so much support elsewhere that it shouldnt matter. The support in the back is really extra.

So with 150g tank on top, yall think the stand can support the tank without a front brace?

I've had my 135 (6' x 1.5' x 2') sitting on a similar stand for 8 years now with no center support. I've had zero issues. I'm not saying it's impossible to have them but that is my experience.
