150g tank

as already stated, keep and eye on craigslist, and keep an eye on here

they are few and far between, but they do pop up

I've gotten 3 150s in the past and the most ive paid for a tank with stand is $200
And i picked up my 180 with stand lids and lights for $200!
 
lucky theres great deals in ohio just not around me they're like over an hour drive to places. anybody around me is wanting $400 + for a 75g tank and up. Ill prolly just buy this guys 75g for $75 that comes with everything and just keep looking for deals
 
No such thing as a minor leak when it comes to aquariums. IMO.

150g without leak, 150$. considering it has a stand I'd maybe pay 150$ since it has a leak. No more though.

If I had a 150 gallon tank with a leak that someone was willing to pay that much for I'd deliver it too! :/

Oh, and like every ones saying, you just have to keep checking craigslist. Be patient. All these tools in my area were/are trying to sell like 55g and 75g for 500-800$. Some fool just put a 75g on craigslist here for 1k dollars. Really? Ridiculous. BUT, here's my point. I check every day and recently (just yesterday) someone posted a 125g 6' long with stand for 80 bucks with no leaks. Said he's had tons of ppl calling saying they want to come look at it but never show or flake. That's a steal. If it wasn't for the fact that I'm not sure how I'm paying rent next month I'd already have bought it.
 
^^ This. I wouldn't set up a leaking tank if I got it for free, especially with a leak at the bottom! You need to strip the inner silicone off and reseal it, and hope it works.

that's what i try to tell everyone, the good or even decent deals don't stay up long so all your'e really seeing if you only check once in a blue moon are the bad deals. it's kind of like when you go to the movie theater on saturday night and all the good movies are gone cuz everybody got them earlier in the week.
 
lol Ive been on craigslist all day these past two days. I keep it open and just minimize it and glance here and there. Im probably still going to pick up the 75g that I found a few weeks ago and went over to look at it. I think its a great deal $75 bucks for a 75 with stand, fluval 303 can filter and other extras. hell for $75 how can I pass?

Took me over a year to find my large tank. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to spend so when the right post came up, I pounced on it. I got my 210g with stand and glass tops for $500. The big deal for me was that it was all new, never been set up before and had all the pet store stickers on it. The guy had spent over $1400 for it all.
 
WOW! People are crazy in your neck of the woods. I thought Montana was bad. I picked up a 180, oak stand, lights, glass tops and a couple hob filters for 400. If you have a android phone download the craigslist notifier. You can put in your own search criteria and when something is posted under that criteria you get a notification. Be ahead of others and get the good deals!!! It has worked well for me!
 
nah I dont. I dont use the internet on my fone that often so Im not a person whos gunna pay $30 bucks a month for a data plan lol
