Thanks again for the response isde02! Yeah I wasn't sure about that, I knew the pump was gravity fed so I had questioned it at first and then just went with it. I am probably going to leave it a lone for the time being and consider switching it up later. I will probably pre plumb a few things for it and get a better idea on the simplest way to do it with the smallest amount of down time (not enough filters for that tank and the limited time on my current schedule). I do make sure to check the flow through the first cartridge in the morning and before I go to bed. I will probably do a little more research on the pump also. The inlet pipes holes are to small for anything to get through so I am not so worried about that - I also don't have small rocks or any gravel in the tank. I am keeping an eye on it to be on the safe side though.
