Hey all! I just wanted to share some pictures of my build. It has been a slow process, taking months, and there is still work to do, but I'm finally at a point where it's complete enough to show off.

I started with a wall in my living room that backs up to a closet in my spare bedroom. IMG_20180602_065657.jpg IMG_20180602_065637.jpg

Deconstruction begins:

I removed all of the sheetrock on the inside of the closetMVIMG_20180602_101535.jpg Once gone, I used painters tape to mark off the location of the tank and the access doors on the viewable side. IMG_20180602_110546.jpg

The reason I removed all of the existing drywall inside of the closet was so I could replace it with moisture resistant sheetrock. IMG_20180606_062844.jpg IMG_20180606_062633.jpg It also allowed me to run the wiring for a dedicate 20A circuit.

You can see from the above picture that I added a 90cfm exhaust fan that has a humidistat set to automatically come on at 60% humidity.

I had to come up with doors for the above tank access. This was somewhat tricky. I knew I was going to have the entire opening cased out with trim, so the doors needed to be inset. Finding the right hinges would be essential. Here is what I came up with. The doors are made of 1x3 frames with wainscoting as the panel. In these pictures they are just held in place with shims to get an idea of the look. IMG_20180624_132645.jpg IMG_20180624_132635.jpg
