truck and a bunch of friends just make sure you supply the beer for em afterwards or they wont help you out next time

dodge caravan that has those seats that fall down

I would make my husband do it ;)

I use my dad's old truck for anything that won't fit in my Subaru wagon.

If you don't have access to a pickup, you could rent a small flatbed trailer from U-Haul. Also, depending on where you buy it, you may be able to get the LFS owner to deliver it (I know my LFS owner would to sell a 240!).

Good luck with your new tank!

Haha yeah I do the same thing. Put all the seats down in the back of the volvo and stick the tank in there with some straps to make sure it doesnt move around. Its always worked in the past. Good luck though.

We used an F250 with an old quilt in the bed for our 220G. Drove to the back of the house (we have a walk-out basement), transferred the tank to a sturdy kitchen table on the patio then the two of us walked it thru the patio door & set it on another table temporarily. It was January & we couldn't get anyone to help us move it. What a beast!!!

Depending on whether its from a store, and the cost, I'd pay for delivery. That way if anything happened, it would have to be replaced on someone elses dime.

not a bad idea.

if the store doesn't offer delivery, you could even call a moving company to do it (at least they'd be responsible for replacement). that would be expensive, but not as expensive as replacing such a big tank.

as said, a mini-van is the way to go. especially if its one with the captains seats in the 2nd row.

remove the 3rd row bench seat, and one of the captains seats from the 2nd, and slide the tank in. he one seat still in the back gives some support in stopping the tank from moving. i shoved a bunch of shorts and my fishing raIn gear between the tank and chair.sides. worked like a charm moving my 7ft, 250g.
