155 Gal Bow Front VS 125 Gal (Acrylic Tru Vu?)

Hey guys,

I am trying to decide between a 155 Galon Bow Front or a 125 Tru-Vu Acrylic.

I wanted to get your guys' opinion as to which to go with.

Also, would the 125 Tru-Vu Acrylic be less susceptible to leaks?

Both would be 72" L

Also, do you guys know what kind of filter this is in this ad?

First the guy got RIPPED on that Fx5 i just picked up 2 brand new ones in the box never opened for 400

i would offer him 350 for the set up ...

for used i would say $350-$400 would be a good price .. anything more then that and your not getting a deal anymore..

I would go with the TruVu acrylic myself. I used to have a bowfront tank, I'd rather have the acrylic before it.

I guess it depends upon what you like in the end. I don't like acrylic because it scratchs so easy. Plus bigger is always better so if they are in the same price range I would get the 155 bowfront.

The acrylic would be less likely to leak, but if it's a quality made brand you shouldn't have to worry.

i seal all my tanks (used) that i get. never had a leak. so if you re-seal a used tank or get a new tank the chance of leaking is SOO SMALL!!!

and the only reason i like acrylic is because of the weight .. but the cost kills it for me.. all my tanks are standard glass tanks.

I would go with a rectangular glass tank, rather than a bow (don't like the look also the ends are narrow) or acrylic (scratches easily and to me, looks 'plasticy' which to me looks cheap -even though I know its a lot more expensive )
