How did the moving of the tanks go? and when are you going to do a thread about it?

I am having some problems with my altums as some of them have clamped tail fins. Getting my LFS guy to come over this weekend to check them. They still eat very well and swim around. Bought a pH controller and lowered pH to 6.9 to see if it helps.

I should post some update pics.
 
Sorry to hear you are having some trouble with your altums. Please post pics updates when you are able. I would like to see how the fish are progressing in size. Love the tank setup as well.
 
Killer altums. Just love it. Can't wait to have some of my own...one day...
 
The altums are all doing fine again. I raised the temp a bit and that seemed to do the trick. I keep the whole tank at about 30-31C now.
 
Fish look great and the tank looks good. IMO ditch the fake plants, add a bit more driftwood (thin and twisty sorta stuff) and some leaf litter, would make it perfect.

and increase the school of corys to 30+!! :P
I was looking forward to having a monster school of them in my big tank but its not going to work with the black aro, I just love the way they look in huge schools.
 
Hi, you mentioned a styrofoam background...did you build it or purchase it. If you build it, what precaution did you take to ensure no toxic chemical leakage?
