Awesome! I am getting ready to do the same thing pretty soon. Got a similar sized tank of CL (lady said whoever gets here first gets it!), 3/4" glass, no brace, etc... I'm going to be doing a refurb on the tank and building a new stand. Thanks for the posts and it looks great so far! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks, ill be looking for the build

that tank you have there looks like an ODELL.they were pretty good tanks in there time.I have the starfire 55 as a sump.being that its been repaired and then resealed by you,I wouldnt trust it without a brace in the middle.

I didnt break the seal between the glass just on the inside, so whats your reasoning behind not having a brace? I didnt change anything structurally just aesthetics.

sweet thats my kind of deal for 50 bucks , but be careful i can see your street in the picture i actually had a 200 gallon with stand stolen out of my yard sitting out side like that

Im just a guy who believes in" an once of prevention for a pound of cure"not trying to be mean,I do know what its like to have 125gals on the floor.

Damn thats crazy, they must have wanted that tank pretty bad. Its inside now so its safe. I was more worried about it gettin hit by a BB gun.

I totally understand, Ive had a couple folks tell me i should. The tanks only filled half way still so I went and had some glass cut for a brace. Ill post some pics up tomorrow.

so i guess its better than nothing huh?
