yea may be 10-12. they just huver around most of the time, and in my experience a "bit" crowed, they fight less. just put some ornaments in there to establish different territories, something bigger than a fish so if it swims to the other side, the pursuer looses visual contact.

ok so every body's suggesting around 10 so ill go with 10! but for substrate should i use pool filter sand or barebottom.

You can use thin sand like the one is found in beaches, it has the advantage the waste produced by P' at the time of eating always remains at the top of the substrate and it can be sucked by a syphon of by the filter in an easier way, it wil enable you to have a cleaner water. On the other hand this sand could be sucked by the filter if you put the input hose too close to the substrate and can damage yor filter, so be aware.

Maybe the best option is the barebottom, so you'll be able to have an optimal cleaning of the waste, you'll ensure you're getting rid of all those nasty food remains P's always produce, you'll save money cause you won't be buying any pound of sand and you'll se that setting your tank is going to be relly simple.:naughty:

You can use some river stones and some mangler roots or bogwood as deco and that's it....:naughty:

Cheers.
