Leis are only found in the wild in one river system in Queenland where I live. They are stocked in 14 impoundments as sportfish. They are a regulated fish under the Fisheries Act and there is a possession limit of one fish over 50 cm. There is no wild collection permitted, there are over a dozen commercial aquaculture farms which breed them, three of which have export permits and quite a few hobby breeders who breed them.

Truth. I really paid about $20 for this piece of leftover jar.:D Let me do another update of it over the period of 1 month in white tank.

My point is that, arowana will try to blend in their enviroment. They mostly will look real pale in whitish tank when young. But once they start to develop colour, the enviroment can't control them much.

Let me follow up on this fella.;)
