spl competition vehicles push way more than 17000 watts(some atleast). enough money will get you anything. its stupid though you cant even drive around or even be in the car with that much volume. ive had stereos that hurt your ears and made it hard to breath and there was nowhere near that much flex, so imagine trying to drive that thing.

That's not built like a DB drag car though.

I get all kinds of weird notifications (trying to scan my computer and such) so I would suggest you don't follow that link anymore.

yeah i bet it has all sorts of mechanichal problems, that much vibration can wreck a standard car real quick.

Very true. from the looks of that car it wouldn't last to comps.

if he spent half as much money to strenghten and hold in the pressure as he did on the system it would be twice as loud, SPL(sound pressure level) doesnt mean jack if theres nothing to hold the pressure in.

I used to do amateur DB drags, it was fun as hell:D

I never did really well because I was a broke ass high school kid, but it was fun. My best was 143.3db
I could actually gain a point when I opened the recirculation vent for my AC :D

Technically there was less pressure but for some reason the microphone said otherwise.

the AC vent was "tuned" to your system! db drags are really technical, the difference between winning and losing is playing that perfect note(hertz), and one octave above or below perfect can be total crap.

I've seen cars move like that from their audio, but 17000w is hard to believe. Not impossible, but improbable

Yup.

IMHO there is no way thats 17,000w. He wouldn't be able to put his head in there unless it was set at a hum.

I have 850w heading into a single 10 and if I set the amp right and put in the right music I set off car alarms and make my rear view mirrors dance.
