I'm Where I'm At
I'm planning on switching to Verizon next week, but dang, after reading this article and a couple pages of comments from people, it's making me think twice.

apparently, this family renewed their contract but a free unlimited data download promotion had ended. now they owe $18K to verizon who IS NOT BUDGING! They agreed to cut the bill in half, but that's it. this scares me. I read people's comments on this article and a lot of them are not happy and don't recommend Verizon at all. Does anyone here have any bad experience with verizon? should i just stick with AT&T and get an iphone instead of a droid?

haha relax youre not gonna get an $18k bill. verizon's unlimited data plans are $29.99 (i pay $22 because of my corporate discount :D) who knows what this crap is about, but keep in mind it's from 2006.

ive been with verizon for about 6 years now and have never gotten a surprise bill

man, i just got a little spooked after reading this article and the people's comments. i recently switched from Time Warner (cable, internet) to Verizon and i didn't like the customer service. not the people themselves, but i dealt with different people who told me different things. i'm getting STARZ free for 3 months and SHOWTIME for 1 year. later on, my wife spoke to someone who told her SHOWTIME was only free for 3 months also. they did end up changing it for me to 1 year. i made my wife call back and the guy changed it. she thought i may have misunderstood them or heard them wrong but i know i was told 1 year. other than that, so far so good, i hated Time Warner

and Verizon is the way to go right now with the LTE 4 progression, not to mention powerful lineup of Android phones coming. The newest droid the HTC Incredible walks circles around the moto droid, and runs laps around the iPhone.

the HTC Incredible really is, incredible! 1ghz snapdragon processor, 8mp camera that rivals the best point n shoots on the market, and the sexy HTC Sense UI :)

ATT is dying a slow death with its spotty network coverage. The only thing keeping them afloat is the iPhone. when the contract is up in 2012 and Apple starts making iPhones for other carriers, ATT will see its last days. good riddance

i was just reading up on the new Incredible. i've never had a keyboard phone before so i dont' know if a keyboard is better or touch keyboard. i'm really considering the incredible but i don't really need a lot of things from a phone. i just need texting, internet and games really. i don't do anything else

my opinion of customer service in general is terrible. when it comes to CS, all companies will have bad stories. i really cant say anything bad about verizon's customer service. everytime i call theyre courteous, take care of what i need, and i can understand what they say and dont route my call to india lol

yeah i thought the pyhsical keyboard was cool since i have a moto droid. but to be honest, ive never used it for anything. its always closed. it just adds bulks to the phone. thats why i love the incredible, its so light and sleek.

gaming is pretty cool on android phones. there's a few emulators in the android marketplace that are like $3-4. for example, i have a super nintendo emulator. i go to random websites and download the ROM for any of the old games and then run the software using the emulator. the gameplay is IDENTICAL to playing on the old super nintendo console. now there's an app that lets you use a Wii controller via bluetooth and BAMMM!!! you are now playing video games on your droid with a standard controller :D
