18,000K bulb - good for plants??

I'm running two 18K ho t5's on my 30 gallon with Co2 injection. I have no issues with algae and plants grow like mad. I have a little bit of hair algae from the phosphates in the tap water but I've recently picked up an R/O system.
I know 18K is not the best bulb for plants but for colour rendition on fish and plants, it's the best of both worlds.
