i never suggested it was the lack of filtration or insufficant just simpley that polyfilter will cover any small misshaps in the water quaility that do occur!....

I had a jardini do that once, found out my great water supply used chloramine instead of chlorine in water. Dechlor has to be 2x for chloramine. Do you use tap water or r/o. Just a thought, i use r/o from now on and add my own additives as needed and adjust pH. No problems since.
