Id say that the idea of an 18" clown knife eating an 8" bichir is a completely rediculous one. I have an 18-20" clown knife in my tank and the mouth even when it yawns is no where near big enough i have clown loach as small as 4" and an 8" endli in there and it has never even tried i think you will be safe as safe can be.

thats what i was thinkin but ive never tried mixing these 2 so was just curious. cuz bichirs look like fat bloodworms LOL

I'd say it would work i've got a 14" RCK in with a 6" sen an have no problems

I doubt it could.
I don't think CKs exactly have a large enough mouth to eat anything that's only a little smaller than them.

thanks for all the input, but ive received 2 knives yestreday one 18'' one 10'' ...both look severly starved and the 10'' has a gash below its right eye... will thsee two live from the irresponsible owner they went through?

by the way they both wont touch the market shrimp, fd shrimp, massivore sinking pellets... its only been a day but still..i feel concerned they might pass away because they had such a bad life from previous owner
